Goal setting and how important it is
Today I would like to talk
to you about setting goals and how
Important they are.
In order
to achieve anything in life you have to think about what
It is you actually want and it's
just the same for fitness and
health.
The best way to do this is to visualize where you want
to be, how do
You want to look, how it will benefit you, how you will feel
When your on holiday and on the beach and you don't have to suck in
your Stomach
till you turn blue in the face!!
Seriously though writing down your goals, reading them every
day
and actually visualizing them really does work
What i would
like you to do is write down on a sheet of paper
Exactly what you want and when you want to achieve
it, for example
If you want to lose some fat around your tummy write it down,
write Down when you want this to be achieved.
I.e.: (before you go on Holiday, before
your wedding etc )
Then every day read your list and visualize how you will feel.
It will help to motivate you and keep you going in order to achieve
your goals
I already know what you're thinking!! Why waste time writing your
goals
down
You just want to get started right now, the sooner the better!!
But
by spending a few minutes now writing them down it will ensure
that you stick to it especially
when you can't be bothered, and
believe me you will get those days!!
Think about it this way if you jumped in your car and started
driving without thinking
about where you wanted to end up, how are
you going to get there???
I'm
pretty sure after a few miles you would turn around and go home,
because the journey is pointless,
Well that's what you will end up doing unless you have your
specific goals
written down.
Ok enough of the ranting on about setting goals I’m quite sure you
know how important it is now and how much easier it is to stick to
them if
you have them written down
What I would like you to do now is to think seriously about what
you would like to achieve in the long run ask yourself some
questions and be
honest,
Think about how you will feel if you were fitter and healthier,
Think about how you will feel on holiday/ on your wedding day/going
out
with friends and life in general
Believe me its not hard to change, all you have to do is take
it
one step at a time and TODAYS the day to start.
